MY AHT JOURNEY
Project 1 : Analysis Report
Task 1 : Research and Analysis
For the first task, I was assigned to form a group and conduct a research and architectural analysis on a selected building. Each group selected one buildings from the given list. The building my group selected was Angkasapuri.
Task 2 : Digital Booklet
After selecting the building, we were required to make an A4 coloured booklet to document the heritage buildings. We researched and used photos, notes and diagrams as evidence. The booklet was divided into several sections, such as introduction, fast facts of the building, history of the building, the architect, architectural layout of building, plan to section or elevation analysis, circulation to use-space, organization analysis, building construction, structure & materials analysis, construction method used to construct the building and architectural elements.
Task 3 : Poster & Augmented Reality
After the booklet was done, we were required to make an A1 poster and augmented reality poster. The poster included the digital booklet and interior of the building. We used the website Reality Composer to make our augmented reality poster.
My Progress
The whole progress of this assignment was more challenging than I expected. Although this assignment was only mostly about researching, we faced a few difficulties as some of our groupmates were not coperative. Besides, we also had issues figuring out the website for our augmented reality poster. Nevertheless, we managed to solve everything out. I actually found it interesting and amusing while learning and researching about Angkasapuri as I never studied or even visited that building before. I also enjoyed the process of researching with my groupmates, even though it was hard as there were not much information on the internet about the building. I am not really satisfied with the outcome, but I will take this as an opportunity to improve instead of dwelling on it. We did struggled a little with the layout and design at first, but I am glad we managed to fit everything properly in the end.
